Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026. These terms cover the use of our solicitor-matching service and the purchase of paid document checklists.

1. Who We Are and What We Do

These terms apply to your use of ImmigrationLaw.org.uk, operated by UHA Legal Limited, registered in England and Wales, Company No. 17278075 ("we", "us"). Contact: info@immigrationlaw.org.uk.

Intermediary Disclosure:

ImmigrationLaw.org.uk is an intermediary service. We are not a law firm and we do not provide legal advice. We connect individuals, families and employers with immigration solicitors. Any legal advice you receive is provided by the solicitor you are matched with, under their own terms of engagement and their own regulatory obligations — not by us.

Our matching service is free to use and carries no obligation. You only pay for legal services under a separate agreement made directly with the solicitor or law firm you instruct.

2. The Matching Service

When you submit an assessment enquiry, we pass your details to a solicitor or law firm from our network so they can contact you about your case. How your data is handled is set out in our Privacy Policy.

We do not guarantee any outcome of any immigration application, that a particular solicitor will accept your case, or any specific response time beyond what is stated at the point of enquiry. Information published on this site (guides, blog posts, checklists, calculators, processing-time tables) is general information only and is not legal advice.

3. Paid Document Checklists

We sell downloadable document checklists for common UK visa application types. The following pre-contract information applies to each purchase:

  • What you are buying:Digital content — access to the full text of the document checklist named on the purchase page. Checklists are general information about Home Office document requirements. They are not legal advice and are not tailored to your circumstances.
  • Price:£9.99 per checklist, inclusive of any applicable VAT. The total price is shown before you pay. There are no additional or recurring charges.
  • Payment and delivery:Payment is processed by Stripe. Access to the full checklist is provided immediately after successful payment, on the same page, in your browser.
  • Compatibility:Checklists are web pages viewable in any modern browser. No special software is required.

4. Cancellation Rights and the Cooling-Off Period

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have a 14-day cancellation (cooling-off) period when you buy digital content online.

Loss of the cooling-off period on immediate access:

Because checklist content is supplied immediately after payment, by completing your purchase you expressly consent to the digital content being supplied straight away, and you acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once access begins. This is stated at the point of purchase and confirmed by proceeding to payment.

This does not affect your statutory rights where the content is faulty, not as described, or not supplied — in those cases contact us at info@immigrationlaw.org.uk and we will put it right or refund you.

5. Use of the Site and Content

Content on this site, including paid checklists, is for your personal use. You may not resell, republish or redistribute it. You must not use the site unlawfully, attempt to interfere with its operation, or submit false information through our forms.

6. Our Responsibility to You

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Because we are an intermediary and not a law firm, we are not responsible for the legal services provided by any solicitor you are matched with — those are governed by your agreement with that solicitor and by SRA regulation. We are not responsible for decisions of the Home Office or the outcome of any immigration application. General information on this site may become out of date as immigration rules change; always confirm current requirements with a regulated solicitor before applying.

7. Changes and Contact

We may update these terms from time to time; the version published on this page applies at the time of your purchase or use. If you have a question or complaint, email info@immigrationlaw.org.uk and we will respond as soon as we can.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
